12/ 9 /2004 Night Cycling Trip with NUS

*Pant**Pant*...man, it's sure is tired after the night cycling trip. I guess it may be due to the fact that I have not been cycling for quite a while. I could feel that my leg muscles have been stretched to the maximum. This could only mean one thing, I have been slacking for too long. I guess it is about time to head back to a much healther lifestyle.

I would usually comment that night cycling trip is fun. However, this trip, itself for some reasons, it seems to be missing the fun factors. Well, this night cycling trip was planned by one of the NUS communittee group. It was suppose to be a food feast night cycling trip. Since Minglong got to work, I headed down to East Coast Park with Alex to meet up with Ruixin and Dingling. From then on, we were allocated a group. Too bad brother, Jess is not there at that moment.

One main reason that I commented that the trip was not that fun was because most of the people got knock out before half the trip was done. And to think I alway have the mindset that University student should have the stamina to last throughout the night. Well, I pretty sure most people heard about the Hall life our Singapore University has and their activities. But what I witness tonight was really different from what I have heard.

Well anyway, the group stop over at Kallang Airport to eat some seafood. I was pretty surprise myself that the staff that sells seafood was still around. It has been like more than 10 years since I have return back there. This really brought back quite alot of memories. But memories are still memories, most of the stall owners have changed liao. This make me feel kind of sad ... ... Thought like this just rushed into my head telling me that it is all the past. This just made me realised that times really fly fast.

Alright, back to the trip, after kallang airpot, we head down to Leisure Park and then went down to Esplande to chit chat by the sea. That's when 2 men went down. After a group voting, everyone decided that we should still go on, it is still too early to quit. So the next stop, it is head down to Orchard Road. Serious, I barely even realised I was cycling in Orchard Road at that point in time. Why? Well that is because everyone is like rushing for time. Arhhh...before i knew it. I was sitting at Kopitam taking a break. It was just way too fast liao, I didn't even feel like I've tour Orchard road at night. It was at this point in time, half the group decided to head back to East Coast Park and called it night. Despite of the setback, the remaining people: Ruixin, Dingling, Alex and Me wished to continue on and finished up the cycling trip. But the rest of the group decided to wait for assistant which was a lorry to fetch them back to East Coast Park.

I would comment that This was one of those pretty sad cycling trip. One: There was no enjoyment mostly throughtout the trip. Two: We rest more than we cycled. Three: Half the group called for help to fetch them back instead of cycling back. Oh well, I can't grumble too much anyway.

11 / 9 /2004 After Gym

Just came back home from gym. Met a guy there who told me to take some product known as: Complex 1 for body building. That fellow was saying that he used to be as skinny as me, after he took this product, he being to get built up. Well, I'm still not conviced from those things he told me. I understanded my own body better than him. My body tends to burn calories faster than normal individual. Furthermore, I was commented by another body builder before who told me that irregardless of what product I may consume I will not get those meat easily. But one thing that fellow did say right, I do need to get some meat onto my body. I just too skinny. My BMI is only 17, I can't even believe myself. Haiz.... well I guess it must be those bad habits of mine like having irregular meals. Hmm.. maybe if I eat my meals right I may gain some fats. Looks like I have to check it out myself.

10 / 9 /2004 Mahjong

YAwnzz...just came back from a mahjong session. Play from 12+noon to 6+pm sia, but I still lost $34. Guess I don't have the gambling luck in Mahjong anymore. These few years, I have been only giving people money only. Sigh, guess I ran out of luck to play Mahjong with cash liao ba. Oh well, no point thinking about it since it's over, going to head down to the gym and work it away.

10 / 9 / 2004 Minglong's Birthday

Feels good after a shower. Let's see today it was Zephery or otherwise known as Minglong, my dear brother, birthday's celebration. I arranged with Geraldine to head down to orchard earlier to get him a birthday cake. Too bad, I didn't managed to get a free meal from her. Well, the story goes like this we made a bet the night before that if she was later than I am, I get a free meal from her. I even left my house early just to make sure I get there early, but who knows all these planning backfired. Why, that's because she got up on the bus earlier than the one I am sitting. No wonder she was early, aiyooo... there goes my free meal sigh sigh.

When we arrived at Orchard, we met one of our old friend, Jess. We end up chatting with her for awhile before Geraldine head down for her shopping trip. Gessh...guess what before we can start shopping, Geraldine complains that she was hungry already. So, we end up buying food from old Chang Chee. I bought a squid head and she had her fishball. After filling our tummy, we head down to Taka to buy a cake. While choosing the cake, we just can't resist ourself from getting a doughnut and a cup of barley water. Oooo...I was so tempted to get an ice-cream mookcake and a cup of ice-cream. But I have to resist these temptation because we are going to have dinner soon.

Well after we got the cake, we met up with the guys and decided to have dinner over at Seoul garden. Hei arh never eat the ice-cream or buy the mooncake arh. If not how to eat the buffet. Well, we took plenty of photos inside the Seoul Garden. I think that people sitting in there might though that we are tourists visiting Singapore. Haha...it was indeed quite a day today.

8 / 9 /2004 After the Guess (x3)

I was reading one of the previous email about the Wild Eagle exercise in 9dsmb (my attached unit in army). It sure brings back lots of memory. I guess Iwill never forget about it, judging from the fact that it make life so tough in army for the whole group of us.

This event happened around last year during the July period. The whole of S'pore, for some reason, suddenly declared that all the B' vehicle mechanic required to undergo a major mechanic repair exercise known as the Wild Eagle Exercise. The base that I was attached to, intake around 300+ vehicle to repair within the given period of time (2.5 months).

Initially, the job was given to the OJT to work on to brush up their skills. However around August, another 200+ vehicle was added into the repair list. Everywhere I walk was covered with vehicles. Then at this point of time, the management decided that the OJT are working to slow and time is a major factor issue. Thus, all the so call old bird was thrown into this exercise. The inital feeling was like been thrown into a lava pit and screaming : NOno no no!! But still it does not change the harsh reality. And thus, the exercise being with 22 of 'old bird' in it.

The first morning during the briefing, I found out that I was paired up with Turbo. My first thought was: Omg, please make him work. Well thanks the Lord, he did at least for a while before he starts to complain that he was too tired to work anymore and wanted to rest. I must say I am the kind of person that really hate people to buzz around with all forms of complains when I work. Firstly, my mood is already low when I heard that I have to repair so many vehicles and to make matter worse I got a teammate who can't work without complain every minutes. Man, am I really kind of piss. Well my solution was well if you are really tired, go up to the bunk and rest then. I'll be fine without you for the time being. After he left, I realised well it was a very big mistake to do this. One, I pretty much have to repair the all 100 over faults in my vehicle myself. Two, people saw him sleep in the bunk and even asked me where is my teammates. I was like he say he was tired, so I told him to sleep in the bunk. Soon, I guess this action was spread to the upper management. Well, I think they tick him off abit. Well to end the matter, everyone begin to isolate him throughout the exercise. I feel kind of bad because it's like suddenly he lost all his friends and trust from the upper management.

Every day by the time it reached 7pm, my brain would just switched off. I have no idea what am I doing, sometimes I would be wandering around walking aimless. Well pretty much everyone was the same I guess, no one could do anything after 7pm. We are just too exhausted. Let's see what else did happen during the exercise, hmmm...... Oh now I remembered. Stanley came up with a method of hooking the food off the vending machine and took a whole box of ice-cream from the cook house. Although he was reprimended by one of the masters, but that master himself took the ice-cream too. We were like geesh what convicing action taken. I guessed my rest of the memory for the exercise is like 8am to 10pm everyday. Repairing in the sun, the rain, the wind and the stars daily.

I would say the most stressful part was when you keep hearing the figures. It's was like the stock market where I bought alot of stock and then it almost crash. The feeling is quite scary. Although its stress and we have to work until late at night, there is of course the fun part. The exercise managed to bring a bonding to everyone. Although it was hard work, everyone was pretty joyful still. We still can talk cock and joke around during the day. After 10pm, it's the night routine of Soccer. We can play until it was closed to midnight before we washed up and rested for the day. Even though we are suppose to sleep, we often end up chatting most of the time. Those feeling is like those adventure camp.

Furthermore, we became chief during this exercise too. We cook instant noodles, fry eggs, have cold coca cola, eat orelor cookies (lots of it), then Polar bought and shared his coffee and potato chips. Oooman...just think of it makes me smile. It was quite a sweet memory. But i guess its the people who i mix with: Danny, Polar, Mingqi, Jonathan, Sieck, Ah Goh, Stanley, Roszami, Lau Pei Yong, Joker, Quack, etc. Those names who i never include please forgive me the names just ran on and on. Thank you people, without you all I don't think army or exercise can be fun or look forward in.

8 / 9 /2004 Night

Just got back from the gym and a meal of supper with the gang. Just suddenly have the urge to work out, so I chio Alex and Alvin to head down to the gym. After the nice workout, we head to down Techno Coffeeshop and feast on spring chickens. The spring chicken is crispy, but the meat is kind of dry. We all think it is due to over frying or it might be due to the bird flu where it resulted in low quality chicken meat. Anyway, we sat at the coffee shop and chat for a long long time. Can't imagine 3 guys sitting in a coffee shop and chat for so long, but we did. We were planning for the Hongkong trip. I just can't wait to go hongkong again. Enjoy cold weather and eat good food. Well, I guess I'm the fellow who enjoy the cold weather better than the tropical weather in Singapore. Just missed the Brazil buffet in HK and the curry fishball. Man, just thinking of it makes me hungry again.

Ooo... my show is showing liao. It's Guess (x3) time. Over and Out

8 / 9 /2004

Although, I am clearing my leaves and offs, but it's sure is boring. Maybe I'm used to being busy after these 2 and a half year in army. Another problem is that I can't seems to find any part-time job to work due to the fact no companies want to employ someone without a pink IC. At least the end is coming, I just feel so excited to get back my pink IC.

7/9/2004 After effect of Sibu Island Trip

Arrrhh after the trip from Sibu, I found myself covered with red spot all over my body.
It is so itchy, man it must be those mosquitos and the Sandflies that bites me. The worst part of it, those areas that they stung me all swell like the chicken pot. Haiz, at least I'm not the only fellow who suffered from it. : >

Bank Bank bank bank. Whoever design or come up with the idea of banking meant to make life easy for people. But why on earth it give me so much problem. After so long, I finally manage to resolve the bank draft issue. It took them so many days just to find out my problem and help me solve it. It just so irratating.

Well now I guess I should head down tomorrow to Orchard IDP to pay up my school fee. Hopefully, I'm not too late because I'm suppose to submit everything to Murdoch University before the end of the month. Sigh...time is sure not on my side.

6/9/2004 SiBu Island Trip

Just got back from a trip to Sibu island, it was indeed quite an unforgetable experience over at the island. I would say the resort that we stayed was not as what it indicated on the website that we saw. Nevertheless, it was still quite a fun trip.

We went for a snorking trip around the coral reefs. Poor Minglong, he got pickle by a sea uchin just to save a girl underwater. Good thing is that nothing serious happen to him. Overall, it's a way cool snorking trip. Everyone get to see all sort of coral fishes swimming around, not to forget the sea uchins, and I even get to see what's a life sea cucumber looks like. Even our dear brother, Vinn with his wife who both do not know how to swim, went snorking with a life jacket. Good Job, Brother. That's the Spirit.

One thing I have to agree with the rest that Sibu island is indeed a very good place to chillz out there. You get a bottle of cold beer, lazes over at the beach and enjoy the sea view. One could almost doze off just by doing that. At night, there's a bbq party, i guess i was too hungry, finish up 2 plate of satay. On the way back to s'pore, the guys grab another 2 burgers. Man its was sure an eat and eat trip. Everyone pretty much enjoyed it expect when we got home we realised that everyone has been stung by mosquito and sandflies.

Back to a Blogger's Life

27 11 2007

Times sure fly fast, it has been four days since my final paper was over. If I manage to pass all the papers, I will offically become a Graduate from Murdoch University. Given that I have plenty of time on hand, I've decided to go back to a blogger's life. Logging into my blogspot account, I realised that I haven't been posting anything since May 19th 2006. Why, I wondered?
There are several explanation that pops into my head.
One: I no longer possessed the program: Hello to upload anymore pictures. If anyone has been following my blog, they would realised that I seems to turn my blog into a picture blog. Thus, without the program, I gave up blogging (Pretty lazy of me).
Two: I realised that because I uploaded so much photos onto my blog, the previous two blogs that I have, seems to have difficulty opening the pages.
Three: I have to finish up my thesis this year
Anyway to sum everything up, I just turned lazy of blogging about my student life in Perth.

Now that I decided to blog again, I have to find a place to keep those photos. The solution was simple, but painstaking. I have to transfer all my photos into my photobucket account. These past four days, I have been downloading and uploading all my photos. Finally, I think I have upload at least half the photos I have. In addition to that, I decided to combine my previous two blogs posting into these one.

Hope anyone who is reading it will enjoy.
